The Colombia, ASOPEP Blend coffee celebrates the rich history of Planadas, Tolima. From its idyllic landscapes to the hard work of 168 coffee farming families in Asociación de Productores Ecológicos de Planadas, this blend represents a recent emergence in specialty coffee. In 2008, a small lot of Tolima coffee from Planadas earned top honors at the "Coffee of the Year" program, surpassing Central and South American as well as East African coffees. Planadas' exceptional elevation, favorable climate, and young, healthy trees contribute to the remarkable quality of their coffee. Founded in 2013, ASOPEP is dedicated to personal growth, environmental protection, innovation in business, and leading the way among specialty coffee producers worldwide. With 30% of its farmer members between 20-30 years old, ASOPEP strives to engage and inspire the next generation of coffee producers.
