Vides 58, founded in 1958 by Dr. Jorge Vides in Huehuetenango, Guatemala, began as a passion project while he practiced medicine and directed the National Hospital of Huehuetenango. Cultivating Bourbon and Caturra varieties, Jorge’s commitment extended to founding a school on the farm in 1980. Today, the legacy continues under Renardo “Nayo” Ovalle Vides, who focuses on variety diversification and quality improvements, supported by his dedicated team and state-of-the-art lab.
